Hold

    Hold, by definition is “an act or manner of grasping; a grip”.  The word fast means “so as to be hard to move; securely “.

     The winds of life can cause our faith to waver.  We grow unsure if God can handle whatever situation we are going through.  We forget what He has done in the past to help and protect us.

     The first part of the verse admonishes us to hold on tightly to our faith.  Don’t give up!  Why?  Because God is faithful in His promises.  He is the anchor that holds us securely so that the storms and waves of life will not harm us.
